One of these seasonal beverages usually costs at least £3.65 at Starbucks. However, their recipe is cost-efficient and simple to prepare at home.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Calories: 202 kcal

Types of equipment you will require:

Espresso Machine

Frother or Blender

You will need the following ingredients:

1tbsp Pumpkin Puree

1 Cinnamon Stick

4 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tsp ground ginger

1 tsp ground cloves

½ tsp ground nutmeg

2 ½ cups of Water

1-2 shots of Espresso or ¼ cup of strong coffee

1 tsp Vanilla Extract

1 cup Milk

Step 1: Make A Pumpkin Puree

Let us start with pumpkin puree. Begin by slicing the pumpkin into pieces and then deseeding it. After you've finished cutting and deseeding the pumpkin pieces, devein them.

The next step is to bake the slices. In a preheated oven, bake the pumpkin slices for 45 minutes at 374 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius. Now allow your baked pumpkin to cool down, and blend in the food processor until it becomes smooth.

Your pumpkin puree is complete!

If you do not have time to make pumpkin puree, then opt for a pre-made Pumpkin puree to expedite the process.

Step 2: Let us Prepare Some Spice Blend

While you wait for your pumpkin puree to bake, let us prepare some spice blend that will give the Latte its distinct flavour.

To make the perfect spice blend, you will need

4 tsp ground cinnamon

2 tsp ground ginger

1 tsp ground cloves

½ tsp ground nutmeg

Grind all the spices in a grinder.

This recipe can be adapted to meet most dietary needs, or if you only have cinnamon sticks, they can be ground down and used in this recipe.

Step 3: Warm Up Your Milk

Pour 1 cup of milk into a saucepan and heat on a medium flame. Warm your milk to room temperature but do not boil it. It is now time to froth your milk for 30 seconds, and a foamy layer will appear (it is recommended to use a milk frother). Pour the milk into the pumpkin mixture and reserve the foam for later.

Step 4: Now Mix Everything

We have reached the finish line. It’s time to pour your espresso or strong coffee into a heatproof glass, large mug, or glass mason jar.

Combine the coffee with pumpkin puree with froth milk, and then whisk in half a teaspoon of your spice mixture until smooth.

Add a tablespoon of sugar or vanilla extract if you want to add some sweetness.

Pour the milk foam on the Latte, and top it up with maple syrup. It’s time to sprinkle your add sparkle on your Pumpkin Spice Latte by adding and decorating it with lots of edible glitters.

You can spice your homemade latte more by stirring in a cinnamon stick. It is time to enjoy your spicy Latte in cold weather whilst spooky Halloween movie and curl up under the blanket.

It's also best served in a tall glass to add to the Starbucks vibe.
